DESCRIPTION:BMN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Invasive Plant Work at Como Lake Park\nSaturday, August 22nd at a new start time: 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm\nTarget: cutting and digging blackberry and holly.\nWe’ll be working in the shade but it could be hot so bring water. The City of Coquitlam will provide tools and gloves but bring your own if you wish.\nWear long sleeves and pants, as the leaves can be sharp on bare arms and legs, and touching these plants can irritate your skin.\nMeet at the north end of the Como Lake Park, 700 Gatensbury in Coquitlam on the grassy area west of the washrooms. Please come for the whole time or just a part as we help the recently planted shrubs and trees thrive.
