Join us for an urban adventure visiting the False Creek Seawall. We will use the SkyTrain to commute from the Tri-Cities to Science World. We will then walk a short distance to the Olympic Village and board the Aquabus for a tour of False Creek disembarking at the foot of Hornby Street. From here we will need to gain a little elevation to cross the Burrard Street Bridge to access the seawall near Vanier Park. Our lunch break will be at Granville Island so people can bring a lunch or wander around the market and purchase a lunch if they choose to. Depending on the time of the bloom this spring we hope to observe some of Vancouver’s cherry trees in bloom. Costs per person: SkyTrain $3.00 each way and Aquabus $8. Roundtrip distance is 11 km (6.8 mi) with little elevation gain. Meet at 8:30 am. Return 4:30 pm. Pay parking is available at meeting location. Please contact Terry (604. 942. 1626) for more info.
