Starry Nights will be open every Friday evening in June, whether or not the skies are clear!
Why visit if the skies are cloudy? Lots of reasons! You can enjoy guided tours of the science plaza, presentations on the observatory monitor, about the astronomical images and science projects that SFU students work on at the observatory, and conversations with our staffers and other guests!
Events open at 8PM every Friday in June, and close at 10PM if the skies are too cloudy, but stay open until midnight if the skies are clear enough.
A hearty advance “Thank You” to the volunteers who will schlep their telescopes all the way up to the plaza, most of them members of the Vancouver Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
