Evening Botany Study Group – Mossom Creek Hatchery
Evening Botany Study Group – Mossom Creek Hatchery
Thurs July 31, 7pm – 8:30pm
On this botany walk, we will have access to the area around Mossom Creek Hatchery thanks to our hatchery friends. This is a reliable site to see Stink Currants (Ribes bracteosum) and Wild Ginger (Asarum caudatum), along with other native rarities.
Bring your guidebooks, sketchpad, and iNaturalist or Seek apps. And maybe some insect repellent, just in case. We go rain or shine, but if it’s really rainy or smoky, this event will be cancelled. Check the BMN Events Calendar before you head for an update.
The hatchery is located at 12 Mossom Creek Drive, Port Moody, and is accessed through a gate (which is normally locked) and a 1 km gravel road.
