The Riverview Horticultural Centre Society invites you to a Guided Tree Tour of a significant and beautiful part of the Lower Mainland, the historic səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview Lands Arboretum.

Sunday September 13, 1pm – 3pm

Join the Riverview Horticultural Centre Society (RHCS) for the sixth tree tour of səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview of 2026.

The tour is scheduled to be led by Ryan Regier, a forest educator, and an advocate who leads tours in and around Vancouver to raise money for local Park Societies. He has devoted himself to learning and teaching others about forests, trees, and wildlife. Ryan is a member of Nature Vancouver Botany Committee and a walk leader and writer for Pacific Spirit Park Society. Come join Ryan and learn about the beautiful trees on the Riverview lands. His forest walks are high energy events where we can come together, and wander in, and wonder at, one of the greatest shows on earth.

This is a free, 2-hour, family-friendly event and all are welcome. Dogs must be on-leash. No advance registration is required.

This is the 34th year that RHCS has offered these tours that educate residents of all ages about the world-class collection of rare trees planted on the səmiq̓ʷəʔelə site. Please join the tour to show your support for preserving the priceless natural heritage of the səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview Lands.

Meet in the Serenity Garden down the slope from the Henry Esson Young (HEY) Building on the səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview Lands in Coquitlam. Watch for Tree Tour direction signs when you enter the site.
