Monthly Meetings
NOTE re COVID-19 Restrictions
Our regular meeting venue, the King of Life Church, has no timeline for re-opening. Not to worry though! BMN members can now join BMN’s meetings in the comfort of their own homes via Zoom. Invitations will be sent to BMN members each month. If you are not a BMN member, but would like to join the meeting, please contact us.
If you need some help setting up your computer for Zoom meetings, let us know and we’ll guide you through it.
Not able to attend a Zoom meeting in real time? Some of our speakers have generously agreed to their presentations being recorded for later viewing. See BMN’s new YouTube channel for recent presentations.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the King of Life Lutheran Church, which is located on the corner of Falcon Drive and Guildford Way in Coquitlam. The June meeting takes the form of a group walk in a local natural area. NOTE: Occasionally throughout the year, we need to shift our meeting date slightly, so please check the events calendar or the BMN newsletter for updates.
BMN monthly meetings often feature a guest speaker that provides a 45 minute presentation to our members and guests. Speakers are usually recognized professionals or specialists in their field with extensive experience in and knowledge of their subject area. Sometimes, members volunteer to share their experiences of a place they have traveled and the flora and fauna they discovered there.
Each regular meeting includes a presentation and a refreshment break, which is sometimes followed by a BMN member’s mini-presentation on a nature themed topic. Meetings are listed in the events calendar and are advertised in the club announcements of the Tri-City News newspaper. Meetings are free and open to all.
