BMN monthly meetings often feature a guest speaker that provides a 45 minute presentation to our members and guests. Speakers are usually recognized professionals or specialists in their field with extensive experience in and knowledge of their subject area. Sometimes, members volunteer to share their experiences of a place they have traveled and the flora and fauna they discovered there.
Monthly meetings are open to the public and are no cost.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) at 7:30 PM at the King of Life Lutheran Church, which is located on the corner of Falcon Drive and Guildford Way in Coquitlam. The June meeting takes the form of a group walk in a local natural area. NOTE: Occasionally throughout the year, we need to shift our meeting date slightly, so please check the website or your newsletter for updates.
Each regular meeting includes a slide show presentation by a guest speaker, a refreshment break which is sometimes followed by a BMN member’s mini-presentation on a natural history topic. Meetings are advertised in the club announcements of the local newspapers, and are free and open to all.
See the Events Calendar for a list of upcoming monthly meetings.
