BMN participated in the TriCities sector of the Pitt Meadows Christmas Bird Count (CBC) for the 20th consecutive year in 2012. We cover the west side of a circle based around Sheridan Hill, and the Alouette Field Naturalists cover the east side. The dividing line between west and east is, by tradition, the Pitt River. To view the results from our count, click “here”:/assets/bmn/doc/2012CBCsummary.pdf. To see this year’s results — and the results of past years’ counts — go to the “Audubon Society’s website”:http://netapp.audubon.org/CBCObservation/CurrentYear/ResultsByCount.aspx, enter the country, province and the count code (bcpm); by clicking the tabs at the top of the page, you can view historical results and results by species.
