There is a new research project to understand the breeding-ground origins of birds that experience high rates of mortality from collisions with windows in southwestern BC. For this work, researchers are collecting carcasses from this region.
BMN members, and other interested members of the public, are asked to send carcasses of birds that died after colliding with windows. Please record the day and location where the bird was found and freeze the body (placing in a Ziploc bag or similar is sufficient).
