On August 16th and 22nd, 2022, several BMN volunteers partnered with the City of Coquitlam to remove invasive yellow flag iris pods from the edges of Como Lake. By doing so, we improve nesting areas for birds and free up space for native plants to thrive.
We also removed fishing line and garbage to help protect Como Lake wildlife.
